Your personal element and choosing brand colours
In Chinese metaphysics each element relates to particular colours, so many owners choose brand colours from elements that support them. This article explains the link between elements and colours and how to use it while keeping the brand modern.

The five elements and their colours
In commonly used texts, wood relates to green, fire to red and orange, earth to yellow and brown, metal to white, silver and gold, and water to black and blue. Believers choose colours of the element that nourishes their own and avoid colours of the element that controls it.
How the personal element is found
The personal element is often taken from the birth year in the Chinese calendar, while a more detailed reading uses the day, month, year and hour of birth in the Four Pillars (Bazi) system, which can give a different result from the year alone. That is why the design team asks for the owner's birth details before starting.
Keep auspicious colours contemporary
Element colours do not have to be bright. Wood can range from sage to deep green, and metal can be cream or matt gold rather than shiny gold. Choosing tones that suit your customers gives the brand both auspicious meaning and a modern image that also works well on screens.
