Where to place a safe: shop Feng Shui ideas
Consider Feng Shui placement together with usable space and physical safety.

From the HUANGJUI Design archive
A safe helps protect valuables and documents such as jewellery, gold, watches, deeds, birth certificates, household records and passports. It can still be removed or broken into by prepared thieves, so concealed, secure placement matters. The archive suggests less predictable locations than bedrooms or wardrobes, such as a suitable storage room, kitchen or tool room; keeping it covered or within another cabinet; securing it permanently to a wall where the model permits; and considering an upper floor to make removal harder. These suggestions accompany the following personal Feng Shui beliefs: choose an auspicious position; avoid immediate visibility from the entrance, facing room or house doors, backing onto a bathroom wall, or placing it above a stove, below a beam, air conditioner or stairs; and do not use it for unrelated storage. Mirrors or attractive scenery beside it symbolise increasing wealth. White or cream cloth, or an enclosing cabinet, conceal it. A continuously lit lamp or moving crystal clock above it is associated with incoming money. An abacus above or inside symbolises plentiful wealth, especially one inherited from prosperous ancestors. A jade rhinoceros facing inward represents strength and financial stability. The archive encourages reviewing existing placement and adjusting it if it is unsuitable, considering security as well as these beliefs.
Review space and safety as well
Choose a floor that supports the weight, convenient access and a position clear of walkways. Check the manufacturer’s anchoring and installation instructions before selecting a location.
For direction-based Feng Shui analysis, prepare a room plan and directions measured on site. Assess security and the characteristics of the space together.
